PROMOTION TEST PREPARATION
testing for Red Belt
Final decisions on testing readiness will be made by Masters Marr and Bayless. Forms will be handed out to those deemed ready starting two weeks before the scheduled test.
In order to be eligible to test for your Red Belt, you must have completed a minimum of 30 classes before the test,
and be able to confidently demonstrate:
Recognize the following techniques and know which patterns contain them:
a) middle guarding block with forearm
b) middle guarding block with knifehand
c) twin forearm block
d) twin knifehand block
e) double forearm block
f) middle block with inner forearm
g) middle block with inner knifehand
You may be asked to tie your belt properly as part of the test.
In order to be eligible to test for your Red Belt, you must have completed a minimum of 30 classes before the test,

- Toi Gye
- fingertip press
- W form block
- low crossing block
- twin side elbow thrust
- head grab/knee strike
- flat fingertip strike
- low guarding block
- board breaks: hand technique (1 board) & back kick (2 boards)
- retention of all previous techniques and pattern

d) twin knifehand block
e) double forearm block
f) middle block with inner forearm
g) middle block with inner knifehand
